Ophthalmic Consultations
Your consultation begins upon arrival. Following registration you will receive a comprehensive work up by our Orthoptists and other trained professional staff. Whilst we endeavour to see patients on time, consultation times can vary, as more extensive tests may be required. We ask that you please allow two hours for your visit to our practice.
What to bring to your appointment
- A referral letter from your GP or optometrist
- Any Medicare, Pension/Health Care, Private Health and DVA cards
- All current prescription glasses (both for distance and reading)
- List of current medications
- Outline of past medical history, including family history
- List of questions to ask the doctor
- Sunglasses and/or hat (in case of eye dilation)
We strive to make your wait as comfortable as possible and therefore offer:
- The use of iPads with free Wifi
- Tea, coffee and biscuits
- Designated children’s area
We suggest bringing someone with you to your appointment, in case you require dilation drops that can impair your vision.
